Some sewing.....

I did sew today.....
I worked on my new project.
I will show pictures soon....I promise!
I even have Mum making something new too.

It was a warm 26 degrees today and very windy.
I had no trouble getting the washing dry...
And if DH can't fix the clothesline , then we will have to invest in a new one.
Bugger!!!!

Oh, and I have Grandma's cold.

Reading.......

I had a few jobs this morning  before my real job....
One of which was to get these......

A Spring Clean

As it is Spring, DH and I did some cleaning this morning , before I went to work.
He made mushroom soup as well as having tea ready when I got home....isn't he great!!

We had a stormy night with lots of thunder and lightning and much needed rain.
It was nice to hear it on the roof even if it woke me up.

No sewing today.....

The girls laid 32 eggs over the last 3 days.

Stormy......

DH got up early to go to his mothers to help cut up the lamb.
They gave us all three too.
The freezer is now very full.
I even got out of bagging it all up as I had to go to work.
DH's brother came over tonight and picked up some lamb as we couldn't eat it all.
( and yes we had a leg of lamb for tea )

Jacob's school work finally came today......so he will have to get into a routine and get his head around doing school work again.

It has been a quite pleasant day......but it has been thundery tonight and raining.
I hope we get more.

No sewing today......reading again!!

Different Things......

After work this morning I helped DH load his boat on the trailer ( he may go fishing tomorrow )
DH , Zachary and I went down to the river to see if we could catch a fish off the bank.......no luck!!
Then DH and I went to his Mothers to slaughter some sheep ( DH was a slaughter man )
He did 3 sheep.
Now we can have a beautiful roast leg of lamb.......
The price of meat is just ridiculous and has been for a long time.
DH cooked us a BBQ tea ( we finally refilled the gas bottle too )
No sewing today either.
I did read though.

As we got home in the dark the eggs weren't picked up.

A Foggy Start

Well it was an........ up early morning for me.....
And a foggy one at that.

After work I put the binding on the pinwheel quilt.

While I was ironing the binding Zachary asked if I would take him to the the oval to fly his plane.
So off to the oval we went....
He had a successful flight......and landing.

Then I put the binding on.
Mum put together the backing for the next pinwheel quilt.

I have also been reading.

Ooops !

This morning started with a very big ooops.....
As I wasn't sure what shift DH was on today I didn't set the alarm when I went to bed ( he wasn't home from work yet ) thinking that he would have to change it.......well he didn't even set it.
So I woke at 8am , this is usually when Zachary catches the bus.......not when he gets up!!
Oh ,well........
I had to take Jacob to the hair dresser at 10am so Zac started school a bit late.

DH and I did some planting of seedlings and seeds out in the glasshouse before lunch.
All the stuff DH has planted is going well....we have zucchini , cucumber , watermelon , rockmelon
tomatoes , capsicum , lettuce and beans planted already and growing nicely.

No sewing today......I have been reading a bit.

The girls laid 22 eggs over the last 2 days.

Simple but pretty.....

Day Trip

After a bit of rushing around this morning and dropping Zachary at school.....Mum and I went to Bendigo to drop off 6 quilts to get quilted.
It was a big pile and weighed a tonne too.......they will weigh more when we get them back!!
It took quite a while to organize threads for quilting and what batting we wanted as well.
So in 8 to 10 weeks I should have some show and tell.

We stopped in at Spotlight too and got a few nick nacks.
And a bit of fabric..

It's turned Wintery today....and after the beautiful day we had yesterday as well.

No sewing today.

And the eggs were not picked up.

A No Sew Day

After we got Zachary to the bus it was go go go!!

DH and I did more cementing.
We finished at 10.15 , just in time for DH to have a shower and get to his eye appointment.

I worked this afternoon.....
And I didn't sew....

Lunch Date

This morning DH and I had an appointment to get our tax done.

After , we had lunch in town and then DH met a friend for a hit of golf.

When I got home, Mum came over and she finished the pinwheel quilt top.
