I Haven't Gone Anywhere.........!!

I am still here.......

I have been using Instagram to post my latest sewing projects. 

I've been busy making presents for nieces and a nephew. 

I've finished all my scrappy trip blocks. 

This QAYG cushion cover.

I have made this bag..!!!!

A soccer ball too........it's still flat but I'll have to stuff it soon.

I've Been Stitching..........

I am still around but extremely lazy. 

My new job is very physical and I'm worn out when I get home. 

So my sewing has been in the "not happening" basket. 

But as a birthday is very close around the corner of someone special I have been busy. 

This has turned into........

I bought the book......Quilt As You Go Made Modern. 

So I got a little inspired.......

And I've nearly finished another. 

Pretty cushions they will be........

Since I last posted this has been stitched......

.......and these 2 as well......so 10 more to go and I can assemble my pink scrappy trips. 

I hate it when one gets a day off and spends it doing a million chores that take it all up. 

I've had just one of those days..........

Hopefully Sunday is kinder to me.

Yesterday was the start of the Swan Hill show and Mum entered a few quilts. 

Mum won best of show with.....

The Last Week........

I've had a busy week.....!

I've muscles I didn't know I had......

It's also been an experience getting serviced apartments ready to open. 

I start my normal duties tomorrow. 

The best part is being home at night so the boys don't live on 2 minute noodles. 

Today I've ventured into the sewing room and sewn up.......

So I've got 16 made out of the100 blocks I need. 

I'm really liking this......

I've Been In My Sewing Room.......

Friday I sewed with Kylie......

And the 15 blocks so far. 

I also added 3 ninepatches to my pile........

And my design wall at the moment. 

I'm liking the look of them all spread out.....now just to start going through my creams to cut the setting squares. 

On another front I finished work at the store yesterday.......and I start another job tomorrow.

I've Been Slack.........

......very slack.

I haven't been well for the last 4 weeks.......it started with tonsillitis and then a bad head cold and chest infection..........then this week I've felt nauseous and lightheaded and not one ounce of energy and been off my food. 

Tonight I actually ate my dinner........DH knows I'm sick if I don't eat ( because I like my food )

Now the boys have the cold I had..........

Hopefully I'm on the mend........

 

I haven't sewn anything.......I haven't been in my sewing room.........and I haven't even finished the binding on the pink baby quilt. 

Since I last posted the rest of my parcels turned up 4 days after the first one......not to sure what goes on with the post service. 

Our niece loved her little sew together bag........I'm not sure how she will use it though. 

I must finish the other one that I started first.

Sunday stitching........

Today after a bit of housework  ( that has been sadly neglected due to being sick all week ) I spent some time with Kylie through FaceTime. 

I finished off this.......

Another Sew Together bag. 

It's for my niece  ( I told her in June that I was making her something for her birthday ) so better late than never. 

Last Thursday I got mail........

Now I'm waiting for the rest to turn up.......it's funny when things get posted the same day and don't arrive the same day. 

I will be returning to work tomorrow.....I'm still not 100%.......but I have to go or I might get the sack !

I think I've passed on my illness to DH........

Kylie kept me company on FaceTime while I basted..

And I had a ball listening to the top 150 songs of the Eighties too.......

It's a wonder the neighbours didn't complain. 

Last week I got tonsillitis ......

So 2 days off work for me. 

I'm nearly all better now.

I Still Haven't Been Sewing.......

I've been extremely lazy and haven't done any sewing..........

Today I did finish clipping the binding on the pink baby quilt......so I must start sewing it down as DH's step brother and his wife and our little niece will be moving to Darwin very soon so I must get it done.

All EPP stuff........

It's not like I have nothing else to do , but I haven't joined any clubs or BOM's for such a long time and it's something I enjoy.

......this I got at the supermarket today. 

So I've got stuff to read now.

Another Birthday Boy........

Yesterday was Zachary's 15th birthday. 

My baby is not a baby anymore......!

We had a double celebration on Sunday just gone , with family.....,.

I made them a cake to share .....

You can see the 17 and the 15 lit up with candles ........

I couldn't post yesterday as our whole town was without phone lines ( so we had no internet service ) and my mobile phone wouldn't work in the house. 

Business owners wouldn't have been happy as the eftpos facilities were down too. 

But all is back to normal today. 

I've been very bad and haven't sewn at all......

Maybe on the weekend.

Birthday Boy........

Today is our eldest son Jacobs 17th birthday......

As today was show day , we headed off to the show. 

DH and Zachary went on two very fast , twirly and high swinging rides. 

Jacob and I just waited and watched as we are wimps. 

The boys have a friend over tonight and we had home-delivered pizza for tea. 

Jacob drew this on an app he got on his phone.....

And Sunday I ironed and cut squares and strips .........so I have enough for 100 blocks.
