Work And Cleaning..........Still

More packing this morning before work.

Work was busy.....which you all know I love.

I saw Kylie again today.......her mum Dawn borrowed a DVD ( about applique ) from me and thought as we are moving she had better give it back.
It's "Applique the piece o' cake way"........a great DVD ,very informative.
I loved it !

When I got home Grandma and DH were out in the shed where I park the car cleaning out the cupboard in there that is full of preserving jars and bottles for sauce and jams.
They will be going to a very dear friend Dianne who is forever making food stuffs and squirrelling them away.
The jars will be going to a good home........
I swept out the shed.
There sure was a big pile of dirt when I had finished.

No sewing today.

Just A Working Day.......

I did some sorting out in the shed before I had to go to work......it's still a bomb zone.....!

Work was good.....
Kylie was walking by work and dropped in to say hello , which was nice.

A New Phone..........

DH met me in town after work this afternoon and I got a new phone.
Now I will have fun transferring everything across.....
At least I can use my old phone as a camera and iPod.

Then we went to Harvey Norman to buy a new stove.

DH and I had a bit of a table tennis match........poor DH was so tired.
He had overtime and not much sleep over the last 3 days.

No sewing today.

The girls laid 7 eggs today.
We may have less eggs tomorrow as a neighbour came and got some chickens.
We are divvying them up between friends and relatives.

It Was...........

..........a very cool 9 degrees this morning.
I don't like the cold.........
The weather channel said there was snow in the high country.......in March !!

Work was good , not that it was that busy but the time went quickly.
I called in to say hello to Kylie on my way home.

I saw DH long enough to have lunch and a little conversation before he had to go to work.

And then it was out to the shed to sort and pack.
Two big boxes packed.
I'm slowly getting there.......

No sewing tonight........I've been watching T.V and playing games on my iPad.
I'm bad......

The eggs weren't picked up tonight.

Lot's Of Different Stuff Today.......

As promised a photo of the baby quilt.
Mum will make the other colourways up the same and then make something with all the scraps.

Work today.......boy is it dark in the mornings now.
It's funny how just 2 weeks make a difference in the sun coming up.

DH and I packed a few more boxes this afternoon......we took the trailer of metal scraps to the dump and then to Ultima to pick up Jacob from his girlfriends house.

No sewing today.......but I did do some sorting out in the bomb zone.

Packing And Sorting.........

I had to wear a jumper on our walk this morning.........it was cold !

DH was out in his shed trying to be strong and throw things away or put in a give away pile.

I was out in my shed doing the same.
Some fabric was packed today......and some was put in a give away pile.
The shed looks like a bomb hit ...... stuff everywhere.

Mum and I basted the baby Alphabet quilt and I will get it quilted before we leave.
Work for me for the next 5 days so I will get things done before and after work.
Then 6 days off .......... time to fine tune everything.

I will try to post pictures tomorrow.

I've Started..........

...........to pack the sewing room.
I think I stood there for 5 minutes just looking and thinking.
4 boxes packed.
And that was just books and magazines........
Mum will come over tomorrow to sort out some of her stuff to take home.
I can't take everything with me so some of it will have to go home with my friends.

Mum came over and finished the baby quilt.

Grandma cooked a beer cake today and had a little smoke coming out of the oven.....the cake ran over the edge of the pan a bit and started to burn.
She swears she will never make another cake..........

DH and I walked this afternoon when he got home from work.

It was a day without the A/C today , which was a nice change.

Cooler........

Well the change did come through........
Temperatures in the high 20's for the next week.

Work for me all afternoon.

DH had the day off and cleaned up some outside and the trailer is full of stuff to go to the tip.

No sewing today.

Good-Bye..........

Today we said good-bye to our family pet Zeus..........
He has been off his food for a little while and coughing and breathing heavily.
And the last few days his stomach has been bloated.
His heart was failing..........so we decided to have him put to sleep.

Grandma and Zachary had their hair cut today.
I picked Zachary up from school and then made him go to Safeway with us with his just cut hair.......he really hates that.

A cool change is coming..........
I will believe it in the morning when I see it.
Another 37 degrees today.

Mum came over after tea and sewed a few more blocks of the alphabet quilt.

I sewed the ties for the front door curtains and finished the clipping of the baby raggy quilt........
...finally !!

Still Packing........

We didn't walk this morning......
The boys didn't get home until midnight so we were all sleepy heads this morning.

Yesterday and today aren't my usual working days. I have been filling in.......but I didn't mind as Sunday is a good pay day , and today is a public holiday.....which is even better.
Tomorrow off , but work again on Wednesday.

DH worked outside sorting what we are taking and what will be giving to his brother.
Also another load out to the burning hole ( tree and garden waste )

When I got home we started packing over at Grandma's until our bellies said it was time to make tea.
We packed another box after tea ( I do hope nothing breaks )

Summer hasn't gone away.........it was another very warm 38 degrees today.

No sewing today.
