Hot.......

It was 38 degrees on the town thermometer as I drove home at 6pm.
Summer is still around......

Today only half a box was packed......

DH was dismantling the aquaponic system to give to a neighbour.
He also cleaned some stuff up and cut down an old tree.

I worked all afternoon.

I met up with my 3 boys at the supermarket.
They were on their way to the speedway for the night.

So it was just Grandma and me for tea.

I have been stitching the binding on my Tile Quilt tonight.

It is very quiet with no one home.......

The girls laid 5 eggs today.

Busy Again........

I have some exciting news to tell...........

We are moving to Darwin.
We can't wait.

After our walk , which was started late as we slept in..........we got stuck into packing.

Sixteen boxes packed today.

Fishing for a couple hours this afternoon.
We only drowned worms.........

Jacobs girlfriend was over and loves to go fishing........and our niece and nephew were here for the day as our SIL is in hospital and the BIL was playing cricket.
So the house was a a crazy place today.

Grandma cooked us a very nice roast beef tea.
And before you all ask.....Yes ! Grandma is coming with us.
She is thinking of it as an adventure , but she is sad to leave her little granny flat.

No sewing today.

A Busy Day........

DH and I had a nice walk this morning.......and we walked up the hill to the shop to get the mail
 before coming home.
It was much easier to walk up the hill today.....must be getting fitter.

DH and I had a lunch date with some of his workmates.........we had a good time.

On the way to town we stopped to drop off a trailer load of garden waste at DH's brothers so he can burn at a later date.

Next was the washing machine......it had better come home and stay working this time or I may hit something.
I need my washing machine in working order!!!!

Then after lunch to Safeway to get some stuff for Grandma.......I seem to be forever in the supermarket.

We had a get whatever you can find for tea tonight......DH had leftover spaghetti the boys had bacon and egg sandwiches and I had toast.......

No sewing today........

Sewing Today........

I thought I would show the four patch all finished and ready to go into my shop.

Mum started this today for her BFF's daughter who happens to be having her first baby age 40.

It rained this morning and Mum and I got a little wet on our walk.
The rain didn't last long.

Busy....Busy.......

It has been another beautiful sun shiny day in our neck of the woods.

Work was great.......very busy !!

Mum came with me on my walk and will walk tomorrow with me too.
DH has another early shift tomorrow.
He was doing the beep test when I got home from work......that wears him out more than our walk and his run together.

The boys requested taco's for tea.........just love them!

My washing machine is NOT working again..........not happy !!!!!!!!

No sewing today.......
I snuck in a few chapters of the book I'm reading before I had to get ready for work.

I did get out to the shed to finish the quilting this morning before work.

Work was fairly busy today.......but it has been a very slow 3 weeks with the pipe laying and the roads closed.
Not good for business.

This is the top half of my cupboard that I have been sanding back.

And the bottom......there is still some paint along the bottom that needs stripping......I just love paint stripper , but not when it gets on your fingers.
I have decided how it will get finished.......but no pictures until then.

Mum came on my walk this morning and as DH is starting work early she will walk tomorrow too.......I hope she wears socks with her sneakers tomorrow.
She said she was getting a blister.

A Day Home.........

This morning on my way to work I had a phone call from school saying Jacob was sick.......
DH was asleep and the phones were off the hook so I had to pick him up and ring the boss and call in sick.
The only time I've rung in sick and it wasn't even me !!
He's ok now though.

So I have nearly finished quilting the granny square quilt.........I wasn't expecting to get it done until the end of the week , but I will finish it in the morning before work.
I hope !!

I'm Still Binding..........

It was up early for me again........that dreaded four letter word......work !!

I have had a bad headache all day.......and guess what ?........if one takes enough panadol it finally goes away.

I have been doing this......

My boys scared the crap out of me tonight.....they were playing on the trampoline and Zachary's foot connected with Jacob's finger........result......dislocated little finger !!!
( I won't tell you what they were doing......but you know,  boys will be boys )
He fixed it himself and I taped two fingers together for support......he said it doesn't hurt anymore.
I'm just so glad it wasn't broken.
It looked horrible.......yuk !

A Cool Morning........

The day started with a very cool breeze........I had to wear a jumper on our walk !

I finished another 3 strip sets of my pink scrappy trips.

And started quilting the granny square quilt.

Mum cut out a new project.........pictures soon.
