Today I sewed.....on the machine.

It's the first quilt I've sewn since moving to Darwin.
A jelly roll race quilt........
I can't wait to get into the quilting......I've sort of got my quilt making mojo back...........I'm not sure where it went but I think only having the kitchen table to sew at sent me into a slump.
Tonight I've added more hexies......
Granny decided to make cake today......
So that meant I had to make cake today.....!!
Granny got it all weighed and ready and the butter , sugar and egg mixed but then she conked out.
So I took over......
Yes that is a 4" deep baking tray.......
A double mixture......(granny has never made a single mix EVER !!!!!!!!!
A very nice marble cake.
She made another 10" square chocolate cake for my nephew who we will see in a couple days.
His birthday was on the 5th October and they are coming up for a week holiday so we will have dinner and cake.
I can hear the thunder rolling outside.....maybe it might rain !

I'm glad you found your quilting mojo... it's funny how it kinda disappears for a bit and then pops back up. Maybe it just needed to settle into your new place a bit before it came out?
Omg. A quilt. Looks amazing. Wow that cake is colourful. I bet it is yummy too. I had a feeling cake making had stopped quilt making. Lol
